Skin Rejuvenating Chemical Peel Treatments |
|
|
Yelena's selection of Chemical Peel treatments are customized for each individual's skin type and condition. This procedure is specifically designed to stimulate collagen growth and will rejuvenate your skin more effectively than any other ordinary skin care treatment (facial). Chemical Peel treatments generally apply a mild glycolic acid and its small molecules allows it to slip beneath the epidermis to reach the collagen fibers below and results in 15%-20% thickening over 12 weeks. However, there are other varieties of chemicals used in Yelena's peels other than glycolic acid. Each individual will be examined prior to this treatment so that Yelena can make an assessment of which chemical peel ingredients will be most suitable for your skin type and condition.
Why try Chemical Peel Treatments?
Over time, natural aging, sun exposure and loss of collagen can leave skin looking dull, discolored and show signs of fine lines and wrinkles. Yelena has the solution so feel welcome to stop by Salon Montaage for a FREE consultation. Click Here to schedule an appointment.
What is a Chemical Peel and what ingredients are used:
Glycolic Acid is a natural product derived from sugar cane and is fantastic for exfoliation and moisturizing of the skin. It is the smallest alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) and is both colorless and odorless. Probably due to the fact that all skin types benefit from Glycolic Acid - it is the most commonly recognized chemical peel solution. Yelena also offers Enzyme and Lactic peels as well. |

Chemical peels are versatile tools that are used to resurface the upper layers of your skin by loosening the bonds between the dead skin cells that dull your skin, while stimulating the collagen beneath the skin to form and align, which in turn plumps up the fine lines and scars from below the surface. They have been around since Cleopatra bathed in milk (contains lactic acid!) to make her skin smooth. Fortunately, science has made a lot of progress since then and the chemical peels available now are sophisticated and effective. Glycolic Acid is the most gentle, yet effective ingredient used by most estheticians and dermatologists. More information is provided below.
How Glycolic Acid Works:
Dermatologists and estheticians have been utilizing glycolic acid as an effective and proven tool in the fight against the aging process for decades. Alpha hydroxy acid peels, such as Glycolic help to reveal a younger, healthier looking skin by stimulating collagen and elastin growth, and accelerating the skin renewal process. Additionally, Glycolic Acid can be combined with other peeling agents, such as Salicylic Acid (this process is referred to as an Alpha-Beta Peel) for enhanced results |
